You might think that you know it all about sushi. This food is delicious, affordable and much healthier than the junk food we usually find elsewhere. As a matter of fact, it’s very probable that there are a couple of things you should keep in mind when you go out for sushi.
How healthy your sushi is depends on the extras you take with it. Oftentimes you’ll be offered spicy mayo, tempura batter, soy sauce and a few other ingredients that ruin the food’s health benefits.
Make sure your sushi is clear of this stuff:
• Anything tempura. "Tempura" means that your food is battered and fried. Stay away from it. You do not need rolls filled with fried stuff. You already know that sweet potato or chicken tempura rolls are usually higher in calories. Some sushi bars and cafeterias use soybean oil. The oil is genetically modified. It is not recommended to consume if you keep track of your diet and lead a healthy lifestyle.
